A trip to Rohnert Park…..
We finally visited Heidi and Steve in Rohnert Park. Jared couldn’t come with the craziness of the office move and Grandpa being out of town, but my Mom came with the kids and I. I am so glad that we went. It was so nice to see them. And the kids loved being able to see and play with Wyatt. Per usual I forgot my camera. Heidi took some pictures of the kids on her phone, though, and it was a good representation of the kids wildness! I think I got the better end of the deal going down there because I didn’t have to clean, was cooked for, and had help with the kids. We should go back soon. :) We had want to go to a park or something, but with 4 kids under 4 someone was always napping and always crying. Needless to say we hung out at the apartment and just enjoyed being together. At one point Bryce acted like he had hurt his arm badly and wouldn’t move it or let me touch it for a few hours. After major screaming Uncle Steve eventually took him and I to Urgent Care. And wouldn’t you know it, just after I finished all the paperwork and was waiting for the Dr to call us back he got down from my lap and suddenly was fine. He was putting his weight on it, moving his fingers, using it. Boys. I cannot figure them out.

Mommy’s new daily mission is to run Bryce so that he takes a good nap and sleeps well at night. He is a delightfully energetic boy that I need to get out more since we don’t have a yard for him to run in. If we stay home all day the kids just end up fighting. Since I am always talking about giving the kids good outings and experiences we spontaneously decided to go to the Folsom Zoo one morning. It was fun, exhausting, and a good way to get the legs moving. We played at the park next to the zoo for an hour. Toured the zoo for a bit. Then the kids enjoyed a train ride with Grandma Christensen. The kids were awesome the whole time except when Bryce saw the train leave and we weren’t on it because we had to wait our turn. Such horror!
The train pulled away and we weren’t on it. He was hysterical.
Impossible to get these three to all look at the camera and smile:
finally……
August 2010
I will admit it. 2010 has been a tough emotional year for Mommy. Three little kids, lack of sleep, and wanting things to be perfect all the time leads to Mommy meltdown. However, with the help of those close, and especially Jared, it looks like there is a light at the end of this tunnel. Things are getting easier! (knock on wood.) We are getting more sleep, and handling chaos better. Mommy’s new theme is that for the important things we do our best and for the rest, I just don’t care.
