Father’s Day!

June 2012

Happy Father’s Day to our favorite man! We made Daddy breakfast and enjoyed no morning meetings on Father’s Day. Later that Day Aunt Rachel had us over for dinner, which was very kind of her. Daddy was a trooper and wore the crown the kids made him out in public. We love Daddy with all our hearts. He is awesome!

Visit to the Sacramento Temple

June 2012

After Months of wanting to take the kids to visit the temple we finally made it. It is only a 40 minute drive from our house and it always seems like a challenge to get there. Yet walking the temple grounds with our sweet and sometimes goofy children was heaven. They loved to be there, and even just outside the temple was a feeling of peace and comfort. Our family and the Gospel are everything important in life.

Preschool Graduations

In May the kids graduated Preschool. Yay for the kids! Yay for Mom and Dad not having to make 2 preschool payments each month! We were happy with the kids progress and their enjoyment at each of their different schools. Their teachers said they were good students with good attitudes and what more could a parent want?

Hope had lots of friends in class but this was the first little friend she made: Grace Davis. It was so cute to see Hope and Grace together.

Miss Danai moved to Texas at the end of the school year and we will all miss her.

Bryce’s teacher Miss Kristi was awesome! She is so creative with the kids and lets them try so many things. She lets them get dirty, spends one on one time with them teaching them, and is always kind to each child. We LOVE her! I told her to hold a spot for the rest of the kids in our family.

A cousin is a ready-made friend for life.

Family is the best blessing. The kids are good to love every family member, too. When I watch them or hear them play at home I am often reminded of their Christ like ability to love others, instantly forgive, and to not judge. They have and will have their quarrels amongst each other, but I am sure they’ll always love each other and be close.

The Forgetful Toothfairy….

In May Hope lost her first Tooth! She is so funny. She had bit into an apple and became HYSTERICAL because it made her tooth wiggle. She was crying and going on about how she didn’t want to go to the hospital and she had broken her tooth. I was trying to calm her down, but was kind of giggling too. After she finally stopped and listened she decided she was ok with the situation. She wiggled and wiggled it but refused to let Daddy into her mouth to check it out. (Probably wise on her part, he would have just yanked on it) Then finally Mommy coaxed it out. Yay! She was so excited as we explained the tooth fairy. She put it in her little tooth fairy doll on her nightstand and we all went to bed. When morning came she came downstairs and asked Daddy, who was more coherent then Mommy who had been up and down all night with Hallee, why the tooth fairy hadn’t come? (OH NO!! The tooth fairy had forgotten on the very first visit!) Daddy explained that sometimes the tooth fairy has so many teeth to pick up she has to work in the morning time, too. So Hope put the tooth back in her doll and within the hour a stealthy tooth fairy had visited. In honor we hit up the dollar store and everyone picked out a toy.

Shortly following the first tooth, out came the second. The tooth fairy was certain to come on time the second time around.

Visit from the Gilberts!

Jamie, Liam and Emma came to visit us when they were in town in early May. We LOVED, LOVED, LOVED seeing them! It amazes me each time how well the kids get along. They could only stay for a few hours as they had a packed schedule of events and people to see in their limited time here. The weather was unusually chilly that day, but we still had fun playing inside and out and taking pictures with both our cameras. I’m sure it’ll be at least a year, but we can’t wait to see them again.
