I am falling behind. These few pictures, and most of them are taken from a cell phone, are all I have of the month of February. In a blink of an eye the month was over.
For Dan’s homecoming we had some sweet visitors for a night. Jared’s cousin Jeanette and her three little kids stayed with us. This is only the third or fourth time we have seen them since we were married so we were really excited. Jared and Netty were always close cousins growing up and it was fun to be together again. I have got to start getting the camera out because this is the only snapshot of the kids glorious time together.
Hooray to have Uncle Dan home! Bryce was just a baby when he left but acts as if he was never gone. We are all so happy to have him home! He is so fun! One night Dan even came over to spend the night with us. In an attempt to be a better hostess (which I am new at) I went to Sam’s club to get a truckload of fruit and to be able to make a really nice breakfast in the morning. Ethan and I spent an hour shopping and due to a mix up my Sam’s Club Card didn’t work at the register and I was sent home empty handed. I about cried. But Dan didn’t care and we were able to do an ok breakfast the next morning. I promise to some day get on top of having visitors and be good at having everything clean and nice meals prepared!
I wish I could say that these kids were always the best of friends. Bryce excels at teasing, Hope has mastered sensitivity, and Ethan’s current phase is “put me down in public and I will run away” while he laughs and squeals.
I enjoy these faces. They express such contempt. We were waiting outside RC Willey for Daddy. Don’t go there on a holiday.
The Christensen family started a once a month dinner potluck. It has been difficult to all get together so we are hopeful that we can connect more with a dinner night planned. This is little Ethan devouring a cupcake in absolute delight. We should have gotten a picture of Willis delighting in cleaning up the crumbs left on the floor.
And we went with my dear friend Jamie and her kids to the Sacramento Train museum. I think Jamie was able to get a picture of the kids all together, and per usual I forgot my camera. It was great fun! Bryce loves “Thomas” the train and gasped as we walked in, “Oh Wow!” Hope was done by lunchtime but the boys were wanting to spend the whole day there. Unfortunately the napping kids swayed us to head home in the early afternoon, but we hope to go back again. Jamie has been a dear friend for several years and I always love to see her!

I had to laugh, your shopping trips sound like mine. :) I know I'll miss days of kids being little- but definitely not when I'm shopping! It was so fun to see you at the homecoming. You have such a sweet family and your kids are adorable. I only wish we would have had more time to just sit and visit with each other! You are such an awesome lady- I'm so glad we're cousins. :)
